INAP is a leading-edge provider of high-performance data center and cloud solutions with over 100 network Points of Presence worldwide.
INAP’s full-spectrum portfolio of high-density colocation, managed cloud hosting, and network solutions supports evolving IT infrastructure requirements for customers ranging from the Fortune 500 to emerging startups. INAP operates in 21 metropolitan markets, primarily in North America, with data centers connected by a low-latency, high-capacity fiber network. The company has over one million gross square feet in its portfolio, with approximately 600,000 square feet of sellable data center space.
During my stay at INAP, I was tasked as lead designer, updating this brand’s look + feel.
Survey: The State of IT Infrastructure Management
This piece is a report card for the hybrid IT and multicloud era. INAP surveyed more than 500 full-time information technology professionals in late 2019. The respondents were questioned on their workplace management.
The brief was to create a visually interesting infographic, highlighting numbers and information in an engaging way. The layout mirrors INAP branding, while making unconventional usage of patterns to anchor the information and layout.
Powerpoint: The State of IT Infrastructure Management
I engineered an accompanying slide deck to match the main survey. We included both a light and dark mode for this, depending on preference.
Social Media Imagery: The State of IT Infrastructure Management
To promote The State of IT Infrastructure Management survey, social media imagery was designed. I hand-illustrated each of these to complement the social media posts.
Social Media Cards
These examples are social media posts directing people to the INAP blog. The text links with the blog article title, and the image matches the blog lead visual.
Social Media Motion Graphics
These are motion samples that were used for various social media outlets. The videos symbolically match the social media post content.
Motion Graphic: Data Center
A templated motion graphic displaying statistics for each of our physical data center locations. These are displayed on the screens around INAP “point of presence” locations. The background timelapse at the beginning is specific to each location.
Motion Graphic: Gartner Conference Booth
A motion graphic created for the INAP booth at the 2019 Gartner Conference in Las Vegas. It acted as promotion for the company and a raffle for an Oculus Quest and Rift.
Raffle Flyer: Gartner Conference
This graphic is an eye-catching handout promoting the Oculus raffle.
Podium Graphic: Gartner Conference
Simple visual that we printed on a triangular podium that held flyers and various other collateral promoting INAP.
Product Document
A piece of digital (or print) collateral that acts as a template for all product documents. They guide the user through complex processes in a light and easy to digest fashion.
Customer Service Document
This digital (or print) document is another template for all technical guides and instruction manuals. It follows the same sort of look as the product document template, but differs in a more visual way. There is a very subtle dot pattern in the teal areas of the piece.
INAP Blog Overhaul
This project is a simple overhaul for the pre-existing INAP “ThinkIT” blog. I took what is currently online, and re-envisioned the site in a simpler, more intuitive experience. Much more emphasis on visual interest and innovative layout choices.
Patterns
Here are some hand-illustrated background patterns I engineered. Each are inspired by data center server racks.
